Katherine had contacted me about a week before Colossalcon 2015 to make this cosplay for her since the one she ordered would not come in time. The skirt was probably the most time consuming part, taking about 5 hours to hand ruffle, sew onto a strip of ribbon, and maneuver onto the waistband which does fold over in on itself.

The top was interesting, because it had a twist style to the front of it. Luckily it ended up being easier to manipulate, but the real challenge was sewing the organza ruffles onto the stretch fabric. It took a steady hand and a TON of practice before hand with my other work to create this effect. This was actually my first time making a swimsuit top, and it surprisingly wasn't difficult to do at all. It even ties in the back!

We even made the bikini bottoms, which were made of the same fabric from the top, and double layered for functionality. And the bow was also made by me.

The only things I didn't do myself because of time were the gradient dyeing on the top, and the burn hem on the organza, which were both done by Katherine herself. The accessories and shoes were bought.
