This was made for Katherine for Katsucon 2015. Definitely one of the most impressive cosplays I've made.

The top layer dress was drafted using a body-contour method and flaring out the bottom ruffles to flow around the layers underneath. The petals on the front where her straps are are stuffed with interfacing to stand up better, even though we still needed to pin them down to her bra strap.

The bottom two layers are actually cut pieces like a trapezoid with a triangle on the end, which we then sewn together and ruffled onto a waistband. This really gave the dress it's poof. Maximum poof was added with the petticoat underneath.

The wrist cuffs are just cut trapezoids with half circle petals of double layered fabric sewn onto it. This didn't take much time, but cutting and sewing the petals probably took the longest. The necklace was also just a guess-and-check kind of method as well. Paper patterns are your best friend!

The bows are also double layered, with interfacing in the middle. There are a total of 9 bows on this costume, all of which are 1 of 3 different sizes. I can't remember the exact dimensions however, but they were the same shape just scaled down 3 times.

The shoes are probably my favorite part of the whole outfit. Originally we were just going to use the gogo boots as they were, but they ended up coming as a hot pink color and went up above her knee. We both agreed that it would be worth the few hours of changing them up and creating boot covers for them. I had measured them on her and where they were to end up, cut them to the desired length, and hand sewn the zipper at the top. I then drafted a pattern using a similar method I did for the dress and cut the fabric. A lot of maneuvering went into the boots, but once we added the bows and petals it ended up looking super cute~

The only things I did not make on the cosplay was the eyepatch, petticoat, resin heart on the bow, and the scissor blade. The wig is from Arda.
