Evangelion remains one of my all time favorite anime, so I wanted to cosplay from the series and also crossplay. I chose Rei for her quiet demeanor and I also liked the school uniform. I weighed more at the time and that sort of worked against me, since I was supposed to be a thin teenage girl. I also learned girls hips were different than boys, which was important when ordering female costumes. I wore it from 2006-2007.
