I immediately fell in love with the NANA manga when I read it, and later the anime as well. I also love music, so Nana Osaki was definitely a character I wanted to cosplay. My first tries were so-so, then I got a better wig and better clothes and lost weight as well. It remains one of my favorites I love to cosplay. There were different versions of her costume each time. The first was a black and white skirt and black top from the thrift store, and red skirt with a red shirt I modified and said "seven" on the front--this was based on manga artwork. I then found a nifty black skirt with gold chain attached, plus an official NANA black stone tank top I could squeeze in, plus a real leather jacket. Each time I wore boots and black thigh high stockings with a garter belt. I used two wigs. I wore the costume from 2007 to 2009, and later wore it again in 2011 and once again in 2014! I will probably wear it again!
