The best little con in 2007 was Anime Oasis, an indy con with no corporate sponsors to take control of what's going on there. A good time all of the time. You can meet and befriend a lot folks, plays games, and hang out. Cosplay all around, guests like Ichidan, Kageshien, Lisa Furukawa, Spike Spencer and Michael Coleman. Plus original awesome events like 18+ cosplay contest and Battle Cosplay are always a lot of fun. Even the naming convention was different, starting with this--the 6th AO (before it was just numbered), with it's own unique title addition. Me and my friend Hector were the winners of the 2007 Battle Cosplay, so it's true that anyone can win!
