I enjoy watching Yuri on Ice, and then my wife suggested I cosplay Yuri K. I didn't think much of it, but thought about it and I could use another male cosplay in my collection. Plus this will be different as I never thought I'd dress up as an ice skater like the ones I see perform on TV. And I know enough about how they move on the ice and all the catchy moves I could do it (the more difficult moves I'd have to do some stretching and stuff!). And with the touch of femininity in the series, this is sort a combination of cosplay and crossplay: the best of both worlds, and I have experience with both. So this could be fun. Also I'm curious if there will be cosplayers at con doing this series who are actually guys, because I know girls will be cosplaying from this series no doubt...!
