Kirito wears this outfit for some of my favourite moments, from Ep 4-8.
The coat base is based off a Matrix coat pattern (so it's super billowy) and made of a black stretch suiting I love to sew with. The shoulder decor is a nice blue vinyl with flat silver buttons pushed through and attached with wire underneath so they lay flush to the surface. The breastplate is wire mesh topped with plaster wrap, clay details, and gesso, sanded smooth by hand and with a dremel. I had a simple wooden sword which I modded with heavy cardboard and craft foam. The scabbard was a quick-and-dirty vinyl and craft foam thing which held up surprisingly well. Everything else I had already.
I really love this character, and hope to wear him again soon.
