Saber is the first costume that I made myself, with only a little help from some family.
The dress can be worn with or without the armor and debuted without the armor at NDK 2011. It won 1st place Beginner Craftsmanship a month later when it debuted at Anime Banzai with the completed armor.

The armor is made from galvanized steel purchased from a home improvement store and is attached with rivets and industrial glue. The detail work was done free-hand using permanent marker and has to be touched up regularly.

The dress used a combination of different historical and costume patterns mixed together. Line detail work is sewn on, while the rest was hand trimmed and painted.

The sword was partially commissioned from Ascension Props as a non-painted sword blank and is made from pine. All details were cut out or sculpted up once the blank was received. It is painted with a combination of metallic spray paints and high mica content acrylics.

The cape is the most recent addition styled from various artbook and game advertisement images.
