At first I was unsure of cosplaying Alice, but in the end, I absolutely love how it turned out. The top was made with the help of a pattern that I altered a little bit. The cross is made out of sculpy. I had to do the skirt more than once- the first one had the wrong kind of pleats (I don't even wear pleated skirts, never mind make them) and the second one I tried to make out of what I had leftover and it was way too short. Third time's a charm, right? The fabric I used isn't very good for holding nice pleats, but it worked out anyway, and I rather like the fabrics I made this costume with. The book was the best part. I made it with liquid latex. It was my first time ever working with it, and I had so much fun and hope I can make more creepy flesh tomes. Hollowing out the book took HOURS and hurt my hand a lot but in the end it was worth the pain and tears.

This costume was actually a year in the making, as my Yuri and I kept running into issues and pushing it back- it ended up debuting a year after the original AB we wanted to bring them to, but I'm glad it happened that way because both of our outfits came out really good in the end. More people recognized us than I thought they would, and we only wore these on Sunday! I love when people are excited to see Shadow Hearts cosplayers! I'm looking forward to getting some really nice pictures in the future.
