The Mermaid Saga manga is one of my favorite lesser-known Rumiko Takahashi series. Basically, take all the horror aspects that pop up now and again in Inuyasha, especially the manga (or check out Laughing Target), dial them up to eleven, and make a series out of it. Towa is one of the more memorable villains from the series, and she wears kimono, which I collect, so I decided to put the costume together one Halloween. The monster hand is a werewolf prosthetic from a costume store, but it's a fair match for the one she has in the series. I'll wear this for cold weather events (and Halloween, of course), and occasionally be recognized.
