Akane is my favorite character, the one I most identify with, and probably one I'm most associated with locally. I've done multiple outfits of hers, but this is the original. I went through various upgrades to the shoes, wig, and blouse, but when I decided I finally wanted to make her school jacket to complete the ensemble I had to retire the costume. The dress fabric was custom colored (it was a darker blue twill I bleached to the shade I wanted), and I didn't think I could replicate it. I've since redone the entire costume with better patterns and lighter weight, more comfortable fabric.
