I may have picked this costume just to get more use out of that wig. The suit was purchased and altered by a tailor (turned the pants into capri length), and I made the apron and cap a week or so before the con. I built the delivery box later. I pulled the costume out of storage a couple years ago and wore it for one last con, then sold it off to a friend.

I definitely want to style another Shampoo wig sometime! When I bought my original base back in 2005 or so my color choices were a lot more limited; the wefts and wig were different shades of purple because I had to get them from different sites. These days I'll probably just buy two wigs and sew them together. Once I get through a couple more Akane costumes I'm making Shampoo's pink rose pantsuit; it's the version I always wanted to make.
