I started cosplaying in the fall of 2008. I love bringing characters I love to real life! I blame my love for cosplay on the fact that growing up my family couldn't afford to buy us costumes for Halloween so we had to make them.
I went to my first con in 2002 and saw people dressing up and I was like OMG this is awesome! I didn't know you can dress up like this besides Halloween, so I was hooked! My friend made me a costume for the next year.
Only in 2008 do I really consider when I started cosplaying since I started to make my own costumes and go to more cons. It gave me a joy in life and for once I felt like I belonged somewhere.
