About Me
I think of myself a "costumer" instead of a "cosplayer," because I have always taken cosplay to translate to the actual act of wearing a character costume. I am a costumer because I focus on, and most enjoy the construction element even though I wear the costumes as well. I costume for "screen accuracy" and take my costumes very seriously.
I often get called an "elitist" (among other things,) because driving myself to madness making sure everything is as perfect as I can make it is the way I enjoy this craft. I don't care how anyone else enjoys cosplay, and in turn they shouldn't care how I do.
I don't do anime costumes, as it just isn't my style but I admire some of the amazing work that comes from that genre. One of my other passions is attempting to promote video games as a legitimate and widely accepted art form-- therefore, I tend to costume characters from games that resonate with me on that level.
And sometimes, I dress up like stupid stuff too, like Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction, needle in chest and all.
Thank you for looking at my profile, and please do not hesitate to ask me any construction questions. I love to help.
