This has been a dream costume for me for years - in my formative years, I made a habit of watching the Last Unicorn at least once a week, and it remains one of my favorite films and books to this day. I made this costume for Otakon 2013, knowing that Peter S. Beagle always makes an appearance - and I got to meet him while in the costume! (Cue tiny fan meltdown.) The dress, unfortunately, did not survive a day's wear at the con - I made the sleeves too tight and they ripped several times. I'm considering remaking the entire gown, now that I know how to go about it, and using a stretch fabric. (Currently, it's constructed out of peachskin, which draped phenomenally, but I made the sleeves slightly too tight. Ah, well.)
