Rikku is the character I grew up with. She holds a very special place in my heart for getting me through tough times with a smile and giving me courage to be my own person. She is the first character I ever cosplayed and initially is what lead me to cosplay! This costume has been made and remade since 2006!!

All sorts of different methods were used with this costume. It was often the costume that pushed me to learn new techniques and skills. My most current version utilizes a fully custom wig styled by me over 40 hours of work stubbing layer by layer and adding the pony-tail (which is detachable for maintenance!), extra wefts, braids and beads. Every single part of this costume is hand made down to the boots! The scarf is still my original scarf from 2006 as are the earrings!
