So many details! *sobs*
Coat- Currently have the base pattern cut out for the outside. I ended up going with a dark blue fabric for it. All of the purple markings are hand embroidered on. About 55 hours put into just that(I'm crazy, I know). For the triangles on the bottom, I cut it out of the fabric first and then cut the middle area out. It was then appliqued onto the coat.
The triangles running along the sides of the coat(what in the world would these be called? >_>) were just cut out of scrap fabric, lined with bias and attached to the coat with the button to help hold it in place.
Gold bias tape is used for the edges.
Coat lining is made from a plum cotton fabric.
Cuffs for coat are made from rectangles of the same fabric used for the applique triangles. The detailwork is all bias tape.
Inner gold jacket- Used a jacket pattern which I had to alter down a lot to get it to look right(should have went with a shug pattern. =_=). Black lines are just top stitched on. I made the pattern for the collar myself and then cut it out of the fabric+interfacing so it would stay up. Bias tape is used to get the design on it. I made the trim myself out of strips of the fabric+running it through the machine to get the triangles. So much work for something that isn't seen at all(minus the collar) =_=
Tank top- I used a tank top I owned for the pattern. For the lines, I just used brown thread and ran it through my machine. Bias tape is used along the top.
Pants-Used a pajama pants pattern. Hand embroidering the black lines.
