I have always wanted to dress as a proper Jedi, now I have drawn a custom design to fit that dream! I will be making a custom jacket, tabbard, and belt to go with pre-existing Jedi wardrobe I crafted earlier this year.
Jacket materials: faux leather and dual sticth thread. I wrapped myself in saran wrap and masking tape to create a custom pattern. Then I used a half circle skirt measurement method to create the semi-circle skirt around the jacket. The over shirt/banner (the banner insignia is on the back) was made with the same materials and a custom pattern drafted from measurements I collected myself.
The make-up was done using the following steps/materials: 1 - Clean face with cleanser, 2 - Use Hydrating ELF Primer as base, 3 - Use NYX Concealer and Sponge applicator to smooth out skin tone, 4 - Apply one layer of Ben Nye water activated make up powder, 5 - Allow Make Up to dry, 6 - Apply a second layer of the Ben Nye podwer, 7 - Cleanup any spots with white powder OR white eye shadow, 8 - Apply dark shading to underside of cheeks and to eye lids using a mixture of black, gray and white eye shadows, 9 - Blend all colors with a large make up brush, 10 - Use eye liner to draw in lips (you can use lip liner as well), 10 - Seal make using ELF Make Sealant
Lightsaber - I will write a up a tutorial on my light saber in December when I finish building it. For now I am using a purchased toy saber.
Boots - I purchased a pair of boots from Savers then re-soled and heeled them. Using Color Max Spray paint by Rustoleum I shaded and added "blaster damage" to the boots. I then sealed the boots in a high gloss Lacquer.
