Finding blue fabric is suffering. I went to the city 6 times before I found a blue I was satisfied with to use for Mako's skirt, and collar.
I drafted all the patterns from scratch. It's been a long time since I last made a sailor uniform. They're simple projects, so it's a wonder why I don't do them more often all things considered. The outfit itself is pretty straight forward. Drafted the shirt, skirt, and sailor collar, measure, iron, measure, serged, and then sewed everything together.
Originally decided to cosplay Mako since Jacqui asked me to be her bff, and how could I say no to a request like that? Ryuko is my favorite, but Mako definitely has a special place in my heart 'cuz man those pep talks. I love friendship pep talks. Mako is truly A+.
