One of my guilty pleasures is moe anime. I absolutely fell in love with this series and everything about it! I tend to cosplay characters I can relate to and Honoka stood out to me. I knew I wanted to cosplay her at some point. Casually I posted in a Love Live! photo shoot meetup what characters everyone would be because I wanted to see all the awesome character. I briefly mentioned I'd like to cosplay Honoka one day and well... I swept up into a group! It was so much fun! :D

I made everything for this cosplay 100% (besides actually weaving the wig together). The vest was a bit of a challenge for me. I had decided to try altering a pattern as I notice a lot of cosplayer do. OH! In case you didn't know, I generally don't use patterns. I make my own designs. So I got going on it and told myself to trust the pattern, it will look nice when it's complete. Nope! Never trusting it again! It did not turn out the way I wanted but time was not on my side and just simply had to make it work. lol.
