So glad we finally got to get out and shoot this costume. It was actually completed over the summer for D*C 2013, but I never got the chance to wear it at the con.
This costume was created in three pieces: the satin green underskirt, which has a short train, the black lace overdress, and the corset. The bodice and sleeves of the dress are actually lined with the lace, which gives the layers a kind of spider-webby effect. The black skirt is just one layer and was left unhemmed to fray and tatter, along with the sleeves and the neckline. The corset is boned at every seam and has over 10 yards of black lace hanging off it (again, spider-webby). The wig was an eBay lace front that I used for Sif. I actually think its suits Morgana better, because of the mass. I just teased it a little in the back and pinned it up.
For Morgana's makeup, I used two shades of slightly shimmery green - one in the lid, one in the crease - and swept it under my lower lid. It's basically a green smoky eye. I thickened up my lash line by stamping in some black eyeshadow on a thin, firm brush...it's a much more natural look than regular liner or mascara.
