Since it was a Dissidia themed skit I made my own design of what I think she would look like in that game. Heavily based off of her Amano design like the other early FF characters in Dissidia but added in a touch of her Anthologies version and gave it a Nomura spin. This costume cost so much to make! Even using Jo-Ann coupons and shopping at thrift stores, there was just so much material I needed to complete it! I think I spent about $30 just on glues! XD

I made my own patterns for everything except for the pants which I borrowed a pattern from Carla. It was my first time making pants, and it turns out you can't make a tight fitting pant with non-stretch material and be able to walk in them. So after I made it I had to cut out the crotch, knee, and ankle parts and replace the fabric with 4-way stretch material. Luckily my boot covers and jacket cover up those spots anyway.

Process in a nutshell: Made the shapes out of cereal box cardboard. Wrapped it up in masking tape. Newspaper and Elmer's school glue paper mache over that. Then a few layers of gesso. Sand it down. Cut out the raised designs in craft foam and glue them on. Glue on gems(glass stones from craft store) and spikes(made out of Model Magic). Paint it up and done!

The sword is a piece of hobby board from a hardware store. Cut out the sword shape with a jigsaw. Glued quarter dowel pieces to make a round handle. The sword hilt is cereal box cardboard and Model Magic again. For the spiral going around the handle I sewed a tube of gold fabric and stuffed a rope in it then just super glued it on. And tassel at the bottom I got from Jo-Ann.

The wig is from ebay. I had a hell of a time trying to get it into a swept back ponytail style. The wefts in the front are all directed forward to make bangs and they did not like being pulled back in the other direction. I hot glued loose hairs to make a false hairline in the front. I wanted to try ventilating lace but I just didn't have the time.

The collar has wire as well as interfacing it in to make it stand up. The "jacket" is completely lined with blue fabric on the inside. The boot covers are some upholstery vinyl material I was lucky enough to spot in the remnant bin. And the shoe wings are made from one of those no-bite dog collar things I found at a thrift store.

I have a ton of in-progress pictures. I might make a long tutorial-ish document later if people are interested.
