The costume itself was pretty simple.
I drafted the dress pattern and made it from a spandex so I wouldn't have to worry about any closures and can simply put the dress on by pulling it over my head. I also liked the drape of the fabric so it worked out well. (Sadly, I can't remember the exact type of spandex I used but it is a very soft one) I used bias tape to finish the arm holes and attached a collar onto the dress. The boots were a pair that I modified by adding a cuff and strap with an embellished button.
The wig and "ears"/antennae were probably the hardest part of this costume but relatively easy. First of all, I didn't order any extra wefts to cover the antennae so I ended up salvaging fibers from what I cut off. When first styling this wig I actually cut the back waaaay to short and ended up switching wefts around and making some to fix my mistake. OTL Once I got the base wig done I took a rigid felt in a light blue and cut triangles for the antennae. For the interior I used a fake fur that was originally white and colored it light blue with sharpies. Still not happy with the color match, I started to incorporate the wig fibers into the fake fur to create a deeper blue that’d hopefully blend with the base wig better. From there I covered the outside surface of the antennae with the wig fibers by gluing them down with tacky glue. From there I simply sewed them onto the wig and was done.
