This is the first cosplay I made. I wanted to do a Napoleonic-era "Death's Head" Hussar Prussia. I chose patterns from companies that specialize in historical reenactment patterns (Country Wives for the pantaloons, Past Patterns for the jacket) and modified them. I based the braid and trim on pictures from the 19th century. This is still a work in progress that needs some fine-tuning, but the basic cosplay pieces are done. When I have completed everything (the shako, sabre, and sabretache), I will have a professional photo shoot.
Update: I made the shako, sabre and scabbard in time for Anime Weekend Atlanta. The color photos were taken by Amanda Whitney Evans at AWA September 2014, and the black-and-white photos were taken by Michelle Wise in Nashville, TN in October 2014. Hope you enjoy them!
