My concept for Ed was to be able to make a nice, comfy cosplay with separate pieces that I could incorporate into my regular wardrobe. I wanted a nice, classy red coat that would be good for fall and winter. The jacket is collared and single breasted, with a flannel backed satin lining. The emblem is made out of leather. In order to recreate Ed's pleather look and also do to inspiration from his stand up collar, I went with a chinese black brocade. I first wore this to Sakuracon 2014.
