I thought making another of Nonon's Uniforms would be easy, since I still had the pattern from the original, but boy was I wrong!
This outfit differed from the original in many ways. I altered the fit as I had lost weight, shortened the skirt to look more accurate, and this time I actually knew how to line and satin-stitch appliques! I made my own petticoat since the skirt has such a specific look; it was my first time playing with a ruffler foot and that was a challenge of its own!
I actually used the skull from my original Nonon and repainted it. The eye holes were enlarged to fit the LED lights I inserted (in some scenes, her MK III skull eyes glow green!) The LEDs were sanded to be more opaque and painted green. Light kept leaking out the sides, so I wrapped the back of the lights in black electrical tape!
The baton is also the original one from my MK I, sanded down, repainted and redecorated.
The shoes were gogo boots that I heavily customized; never thought I'd run shoes through my sewing machine lol!
Since this is her final uniform, I wanted it to be fancier and stand out more. As well as using the satin gold fabric, I added embroidery at the bottom of the skirt! I got the idea from a fanart I found online. I machine stitched the staff bars, and used puffy paint for the music notes. It's actually a real song, which is my favorite part!
I thought it would be fun to wear this at Tekko, because even though I'm not into sports, I at least know Pittsburgh is big on Black and Gold! :p
