OK so maybe this movie was cheezy as heck, but I loved their formal dresses! Finally I don't have to make a ginjika, but have an actual outfit made for a (strangely proportioned) human!
Wig was purchased from a Western store and painted brown with floral spray
For the dress, I had already modified a bodice pattern to fit me perfectly for Godoka, and used that. It is lined with boning and stays up without straps or tape! The skirt is a big wide rectangle folded up to sew in the scallops. The pom pom trim on the edge was all handsewn in place. The sequined apples are iron-on patches. I glued on all the red rhinestones to the edge of the bodice and skirt. There is a separate circle underskirt underneath. For the boots, I used my old cowboy boots from my Berryz cosplay, and also colored them with floral spray. The green detail on the top is vinyl with interfacing set in to the boot. The bracelets are a combo of vinyl strap bracelet and big bling beads I found at Hobby Lobby. Also, yes, that is a real lasso! Isn't it fun?
