AWARDS:
- Best in Journeyman Craftsmanship (Con-nichiwa 2013)
SAME AS BELPHEGOR but with some touch ups!
I re-did the bias tape on the red skirt since I was forced to rush it the first time. It still isn't all that great, but it's an improvement.
I re-made the white skirts - well, I actually made two instead of one this time, and used a pattern so that the scallops would be more uniform and pretty.
I re-made the eagle out of gold spandex (much neater looking than the one I soldered out of satin) and Heat+Bond.
Also did several boring touch ups that involved a butt ton of hand sewing.
I had to borrow a wig for Con-nichiwa, but I LOOOOOVE the one I ended up using. Had to purchase a long, curly Luthien since the style I planned on buying was out of stock when the sale was going on. It killed me to straighten out all the beautiful curls but I'm very happy with how the wig looks. I ran it under hot water to loosen some of the curls, then straightened it using a clothes iron in the hotel room at Fanime - truly a heat-resistant wig! The day I was supposed to wear Mammon I trimmed the bangs and took about five or six inches off the bottom with a hair razor. Very pleased with how it turned out for being a last-minute styling job.
