So...while watching the movie with our friend Jess (she didn't want to watch it without us so...we'd seen it a few times with other people.) my girl and I had a psychic moment. She was thinking Bard was hot while I was going "I really want to cosplay Bard". I am absolutely in love with his costume and him as a character.

Not gonna lie, Bard's my second favorite behind Fili and Kili, so it didn't take much for me to want to make it.

ACTUALLY making it was done through Jayn's gentle...not so gentle assistance. She's literally the reason this costume exists. Pushing me to actually make it, even going so far as to make props for me. She also glued the fur inside my jacket, while I cut and sewed things and made boots. I learned so much from her she's like my god Bofur.

This costume is kinda awesomely special to me because of it.
