Made for MidSouthCon 2011

Started out by making a bodice out of black cotton and silver leather. I drew out the designs on the bodice and then went back and embroidered them. I made the halter top piece and waist wrap out of red chiffon - the trim for the waist wrap came from ebay.

I made the blue cloak and altered a brooch I found to attach to the front of it. I made the necklace piece, and the gold belt out of scraps of gold leather belting. (I also trimmed the bottom edge of the bodice with the same material).

The skirt I made by making a waistband out of some heavy vinyl, then cutting each skirt piece out of leather and attaching it to the waistband. I dyed each skirt piece and added the details at the bottom. The sandals I bought and altered, and the white drape piece is just a piece of hemmed white chiffon. The wig I bought online.

The tiara, shoulder pieces, gauntlets and chestpiece my husband made; all but the tiara he sculpted and cast. The eagles go on like a backpack, and the chestpiece velcros onto the bodice. The tiara is made of plastic.
