I started out by making a simple dress out of blue lining material. I attached the sleeves to this dress, using red velvet and a red paisley print I dyed. I also used the paisley for the neckline trim, and all of the gold trim were several different trims I bought, cut-up, dyed and sewed back together to make one. The outer dress is dark blue silk velvet with the paisley collar.
