I made this costume in a month during May 2013. This costume pushed my abilities, and I was incredibly proud of it when I finished.

Jacket: Pattern was drafted from two jackets that I had in my closet. A mockup was made and altered, then the actual jacket. It is fully lined and made of a beautiful and substantial gabardine :3
Gold patterns: Made from yards and yards of satin bias tape I had to iron by hand from 1.5 yds of satin. Very tedious and sweaty work @_@
Pants: Drafted from a pair of jeans I had in my closet. A mockup was made and altered, then the final pants were made using red twill. They have 4 pockets and belt loops!
Gloves: Modified from a pair of weightlifting gloves, as suggested by Alan Mexicanime (thanks!). Gold trim is painted foam, studs are gold iron-on studs.
I wore this costume with two wigs. The first wig was too short, the second one was cut just right. Both wigs cut and styled by me.
Boots were in my closet already.

This costume is very sentimental to me. It displays my growth in sewing, I met many of my closest cosplay friends while wearing it, and it is my fall-back costume if I need to bring another costume to the con.
