The jacket was sort of a monster, and in retrospect, I think it would have been so much easier/less stressful had I just made it from a pattern.
I took a large grey trenchcoat, and had to not only take the lining out, but also severely take it in, alter the collar, and remove a lot of length and alter the bottom. Doing the front was a struggle, because it was really an unnatural cut/placement, but also because it went against everything that was left of the original coat.
His shoes gave an issue too, as to how to go about them without spending/wasting anymore time or money, since the coat really took a toll on both.
After several attempts using socks and tights with the toe and heel cut out, I finally was exposed to the god-send that are stirrups.
