This costume was so much fun to make and wear!
After the Guardians movie came out, me and my friend said we wanted to cosplay from it and decided we'd make that our big Anime Expo costumes for the year.

I started on Groot in October, making the mask first that took me about a month to sculpt, paint and finish. The rest of the costume took about two months to sew, make, paint, put moss on and finish.

The costume is composed of pool noodles for the bark on legs and arms, craft foam for fingers and details as well as belt pouches, and EVA foam for the leg piece, mask, parts of the arm and bark pieces that you can see through the jacket.


The actual costume was patterned by me and sewn. All the buttons were gold and painted silver by me.
