Wow where to begin?
The skirt is a cheerleader style skirt, I thought it was a true pleated skirt but it's not, but I went with it since I had the pattern. It was supposed fall below the knee and I shortened it. Sayaka's skirt is supposed to be angled but for ease and because I think it's a dumb design, I made it straight. The skirt only has a front and back flap because I didn't feel like working around the zipper and I was pressed for time.
The cape is fun and swishy and doesn't drape perfectly but is fun to wrap myself in. It started as a cape with a hood, but I re-patterned the hood into a collar, as a result it's pretty loose on my neck. The cape is stretch sateen.
The arm pieces and thigh highs are both cheap cheap spandex type material. I definitely need to remake the thigh highs as they fell off just standing. I only ended up wearing them in my photo shoot and they still fell down constantly. The arm sleeves were pretty great though.
The gloves were made using basically the thanksgiving hand turkey method. I think I'll remake them and use an actual glove pattern. They worked for now, but didn't fit quite right.
The top is the bane of my existence and it caused so many tears. The breast plate was patterned using two different commercial patterns and altered further. The bottom was roughly patterned by me. It has braided gold trim and little ruffles with eyelet hearts because cute. In the future I'd like to add bra pads into the top and clear straps because it was basically just pinned to my bra this time.
