This costume came from a very specific episode in SAO2. Season 2 episode 18 features Asuna, Liz, Silica, Leafa, Yui, Pina and Kirito working on homework and chatting in a cabin in game. Each one of the girls (other than Yui, Pina and Kirito) were wearing different outfits kind of like lounge wear for a cabin in the snow. I thought this was super cute since no one had made it yet so i thought i would give it a shot. There were no reference images available online of this costume but i took screen shots. Here and there I had to take artistic liberties due to the lack of reference images.
As far as the actual cosplay goes This costume is a total of 5 pcs, consisting of the white/blue top, light blue double skirt, dark blue skirt and not featured in the final pics my wings. This costume was built over a 2 month span using cotton material. The white top is fully lined with an under arm zipper. The cape is attached at the collar of the white shirt and the center front. All the blue detailing was done with bias tape that took way longer than it should. all appliques are ironed down and sewn down. After everything was said and done I went around hand stitching the inside to finish it all off and make it nice and sturdy.
This costume will debut at Sakuracon 2015. I'm looking forward to showing off this new piece that is super comfy!
