Shiroyasha was a pain.
Made out of some cheap linen like material, everything was patterned from scratch. Kimono top actually fits snug over my head and the sleeves were made to flair our and cover my hand like in the anime. Top skirt is 3 circle skirts that are not attached to the top. Underskirt is 2 circle skirts and several yards of fabric was used for the box pleats. 40+ yards of trim was used for the entire costume. Obi was made from broadcloth and interfaced for stability and support. Back pillow was made by sandwiching cardboard between pink fabric and stuffed with poly fill then wrapped around before the blue backing was attached as well. Pillow stays on via the obi. Purple cording was used for the obi and two small wooden beads were painted and glued. Center demon was made via craft foam and 3d effect for the mouth and snapped on the obi. Choker was made from ribbon and intertwined then hand sewed together with snaps to attach. Wig was from Arda and had to weft a long pony tail to the wig in the back. Wefts were used to make the tiny pig tails. Horns were made from airclay by hand and painted before I used gloss to make it shiny. Shoes I lucked out on and found as close to the character as possible. Made in somewhat of a rush of 2 weeks before the actual convention.
