This costume is a perfect example of biting off something too big to chew, and then slowly coming back to it over time as I learned new things. I started this costume back in 2008, and didn't complete it until this past April (2014). Kusuriuri was a challenge for many reasons (first time drafting a pattern, first time doing satin stitching, first real wig styling, first time using that sort of make up and so on), but its one of those costumes where, now that its done, I'm really glad I finished.
