Made in 2015, I decided on this costume because I was pregnant and wanted to attend conventions as a cosplay-mom-to-be! ^_^

To keep with the setting of The Emperor's New Groove, I chose cotton and linen fabrics (they are also great to wear in summer months!). I used 3 different patterns that I had to modify in multiple ways to make the costume fit the way I wanted.

Overall, this costume was fairly simple so I decided to challenge my sewing skills. I made sure all my seams were perfect (which took forever since I don't have a surger..). The collar was my first attempt at sewing an appliqué and I managed to do a good job!

The earings are made of wooden discs (they are very light) onto which I glued gold leaf.

Lucky enough, I did not need a wig! My hair is long and thick and I was able to create Chicha's look by pinning it up and a LOT of hairspray!
