Dream character to cosplay ahoy!! It was only a matter of time for me to cosplay Yuna. I chose to do Gunner dress sphere as it seemed like a more fun crafty costume with lots of techniques. I still hope to do summoner Yuna someday, but it's a bit more daunting for me; it's a bit clean and simpler in design!
Pretty much everything, but my shoes, wig, and necklace were handmade. Halter top was really hard to nail down, as well as the side skirt! I used idye poly for all synthetic dying, and Rit dye for natural based fabrics I used.
-Top- made from a thick knit, which is then lined, and interfaced(thank you crystal for the interfacing suggestion!) I also did grommets up the back so I could be laced in and out of the costume. I hand-dyed white lace to be pink, and that is sewn on the self, before it's lined- knit is not recommended for inserting grommets so do so at your own risk!!
-Abes symbol- Made from craft foam, then sealed with modge podge, then coated with plasti-dip!
-Pouch/belt- Made from textured pleather, that was sewn together! Decorative embellishments were punched, and applied on the belt. Pouch was a nightmare to make! It's made with matching pleather as the belt, and has decorative silver grommets on top, and top-stitched brown fringe.
-Skirt- Made from gathered tiers that was then dyed. Lace was top-stitched on, and waistband was added.
-Shorts- made from a thin stretchy denim, complete with decorative top-stitches!
-braid- found trim that I liked from joann's and used rit-dye to make it red, as it was a natural beige color. Wrapped around some tubing, and glued some wig hair at the base! I then dyed a gradient piece of white knit that would then cover the braid/hair extension. Lastly a ribbon is tied around to secure it!
-Hood- Used the same pink dye as the lace from the top, since I wanted it to be exactly the same!
