I made D'Eon as a compliment to D's Durand for World Cosplay Summit 2011. I started him alongside Oscar, and in fact the two costumes share the white linen shirt. They also share the base pattern for pants; they both have button drop-fronts, but each are tailored differently to fit each character.

D'Eon was my first effort with machine embroidery and decorative stitching. The embroidery on the neckline of the coat was custom-designed, and a matching design was made for the buttons as well. Decorative stitching was used to trim bias tape and the edges of the vest. It was kind of insane, but I'm really happy with the result.
