After marathoning the Fist of the North Star series, I really wanted to make either Mamiya or Yuria. Then the Ken's Rage video game appeared, and I was floored by the concept art for this dress, and determined to make it happen.

The biggest challenge was drafting and executing the floral details. They were all drafted on paper pattern pieces taped together (one front piece, one back piece), then traced onto contact paper as stencils. The contact paper was then placed, in sections, on the dress, and peeled away carefully as the paint dried. Then, everything had to be hand finished and detailed. My hands were a wreck when it was done!
