Last weekend, headed up to Calgary to check out Canada's second largest comic con - Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo or Calgary Expo for short. This year they celebrated their 10th year.

The con is spread over three buildings - one for registration / kid's section / video games / guest panel, one for dealer hall / artist alley / autograph signing and the last building for guest photos / cosplayer section / artist alley. There was also tents set-up for a place to eat and another tent for more guests photos.

The city definitely got into it. The staff at the hotel I stayed at wore comic-related t-shirts underneath their jackets and superhero figures can be found at the check-in counter. The city has a Parade of Wonder which their mayor takes part in. Last year the Mayor of Calgary cosplayed as Doctor Who.

Numbers for 2015 broke 100,000 people over four days. http://www.calgaryexpo.com/
