Head wings: craft foam wrapped around wire for the spines, with more foam between them. This was all then sealed and painted. The wire reaches under the wig to wrap around a headband, keeping the wings in place.
Necklace: Spraypainted a variety of cheap, faux pearls then strung them around some flexible wire.
Feather neckpiece: A selection of feathers purchased online, trimmed to shape then glued to a piece of bias tape, which is secured with a snap in the back.
Feather shoulderpiece: A similar method to the neckpiece; not shown here, as I'm working on a more secure method of attaching it to the costume.
Leotard: Sewn from matte stretch vinyl.
Gloves: sewn from matte stretch vinyl with sealed and painted craft foam tubes at the tops. Even though it's a stretch fabric, making gloves from this stuff was still quite painful!
Belt: normal vinyl attached to a craft foam base. The heart was molded from tin foil, then covered in paper clay, sanded, primed, and painted. I then sealed it with a few layers of gloss coat for a nice shine. Currently missing the pink studs.
Tail: Stuffed stretch vinyl with a pink spray-paint gradient tip. It features a wire for easy posing and is sewn directly to the leotard.
Boots: Stretch vinyl boot covers over a cheap pair of pumps from the thrift store, with a thick band of craft foam on top, studded with painted googly eyes.
