This was quite a difficult costume to tackle! I accepted the role of Fleshmaiden in an American McGee's Alice group and, while the group never ended up happening, I still decided to make the costume!
I started with a quick mock-up dress, sewn from broadcloth and other cheap remnants from previous projects. I then covered that in a few layers of plastic wrap for a base texture. Using a 3D model reference, I built up the various intestines using tin foil wrapped in plastic wrap, then pinned this to the dress. When this was through, I covered the whole piece in a few layers of latex; first fleshtone, then medium red, then dark red (for depth), then yellow tones. When this was complete, I cast the eyes from resin, coating then with a few layers of glass paint for shine. The teeth are paper clay, sanded into shape and glued onto the costume; I didn't paint them in an effort to retain a more natural tone.
The blood on the legs was painted onto a pair of sheer pantyhose for easy application, but the arm blood is added individually.
I've never made anything even vaguely similar to this, so it was a really challenge, but I'm really pleased with the results! I worked on it on and off for a few months, but I'd say it evened out to about a week's worth of work.
