This costume has in fact been a long time coming, I have loved Ocarina of Time since the day I first set eyes on it in a Toys'r'Us in 1996. Ocarina of Time soaked into my life and was with me all through my childhood; it gave me adventure, helped me learn to read, gave me and my brother a reason to sit in the same room as each other and share an experience and it helped me explore my own imagination by playing make-believe adventures as a hero like Link.
So when I say that this costume is a long time coming I mean that there are costumes that you want to make because they look difficult, or they inspire you or you like the character- this costume to me is an appreciation for how awesome my childhood was.

The experience of making this costume has seen me grow exponentially in sewing and crafting skills, it was a well worth project!
