This costume is is amazing to photograph with, but an absolute horror to wear. The full costume weighs in between 60-70 pounds, and all of this is worn with a pair of 20 inch stilts! This made getting through doorways impossible without help and going up or down stairs was out of the question.
Due to the sheer weight of the materials involved with this dress, I had make all of the structural undergarments to be able to withstand the weight. The gears are made out of EVA foam floor mats, filled with expanding foam for structure. The skirt is made out of a blue peachskin, with hand ruffled ribbons. The bodice is a fully boned corset made out of peachskin and white bridal satin. The veil is made out of white bridal satin and white chiffon roll hemmed. The wrist orbs and headpiece are made out of carved expanding foam.
