This was the first costume I ever made!!! I think it went pretty well considering I learned how to sew along with it. I made it all out of 100% cotton in that maroon fabric and used a dress pattern with way too many pieces but it ended up fitting me really well so I guess I can't complain. I bought the white ruffles and pleated them before sewing it onto the bottom of the dress. I wore a white petticoat underneath and a pink skirt I bought online!! I wasn't too big on accuracy on this costume, hence the lack of black tanktop and the SUPER inaccurate shoes lmao (I'll make the real ones at some point!) The soul gem necklace was made for me by a friend out of sculpey and resin, and the arm bands I bought at a bridal shop and added the black cuffs. The spear is made all out of posterboard covered in paper mache and spraypainted (doesn't look too good close up, I wouldn't paper mache it again) and expand-glued to a spraypainted bamboo stick!! (SO hard to travel with though lmao) Overall for my first costume, I'm pretty satisfied with it, though!
