I was so excited to make this costume!! Juri is definitely one of my, if not my number one, favorite character in RGU, I identify with her so much :') She is the queen.

For the top, I modified a pretty simple jacket pattern. I made the majority of the top out of a heavyweight cotton, which worked really well. After I made the basic shape, I made the colored part on her left arm out of an interfaced cotton (kinda wish I hadn't interfaced it because it was hard to move my arm but oh well) and glued on the gold bias tape trim. Then I added the red bias tape around the whole thing, the fake pocket (too lazy to make a real one LMAO), sewed on the zipper, and added the details. The epaulettes (slightly inaccurate, blame the time crunch) were wooden and I found them carved out exactly like that at Michaels and was like perfect! so I just spraypainted them gold and they velcroe onto the jacket.

The part you've all been waiting for: THE WIG!!! God damn, did I learn a lot from making that wig LMAO. I bought an epiccosplay Eros wig in Autumn orange. Ideally I'd have wanted one that was longer, but this was the longest lace front on epic and I didn't want to spend $80 on an arda OTL. I separated the wig into parts that I wanted each curl to be. So the way I did the curls was definitely an interesting method, I created clear "tubes" out of packaging tape by wrapping them around a paper towel roll, cut them in half, and glued extra wefts of hair on the inside of the tube. Then I taped the tube back together, and I actually covered the outside of the tube in e6000, and wrapped the hair on the wig around the tube to get that super tight curl and then hairsprayed the hell out of it. For the "90s bangs", LMAO, I actually had an old shampoo bottle that I cut up and had 2 little plastic "rounded triangles", that I actually glued with e6000 onto the front of the wig on top of the lace front. I then glued the hair on the front onto these pieces of plastic so they weren't visible, but the bangs stuck up in that fashion I liked, and still could hold the weight of the little bang curls that Juri has. And there we have it!! Juri's wig!
