Aaaaaand my biggest cosplay project to date. Since I got known for my Satsuki cosplay, and I love her character so much, I knew I had to make synchronized Junketsu eventually!! I'm pretty satisfied with how this turned out, despite some of my fabric choices.
The giant shoulder-things, whatever those are, are made form a base of several layers of insulation foam glued together to the thickness I wanted and carved down into that foam-like shape. I then covered the insulation foam with a layer of craft foam, giving me the pointy shape that I wanted, and made the parts that "stick out" out of cardboard covered with craft foam, and glued that to the base as well. I then covered the whole thing with 4-way stretch white vinyl and hot glued it all together, giving it that smooth and shiny surface. The "eyes" are made out of black vinyl, cotton for the colored pieces, and then covered in a clear vinyl (? I'm not sure what that fabric is called). They're both connected together in the back with a piece of posterboard (probably not the best way, but I couldn't think of another way to keep them up, and this works really well), and velcroe to my shoulders, as well as having clear straps that go around my armpits.
The rest of the costume was made with the same 4 way stretch white vinyl. I took a (very push up, for I don't quite have the rack Satsuki has) bra, cut it so that it was more exposed (lmao), and covered it in the same white vinyl. (Again, probably not the best method, but oh well). The rest of the "shirt" as well as the boot covers are made out of the same vinyl, gluing the blue ribbon to the middle (but then I later went and sewed it on because it didn't stick very well). The thing that covers the front middle part of the bra, the arm bands, and the bands around the top of the legs, are made with worbla.
